Hammers Rip Cagneys 28-10

LaBREQUE FIELD, HN - The Hammers were hitting on all cylinders against an overmatched Cagneys club, racing out to a big 18-4 lead after only two innings of play last night in Houghs Neck.

Steve McInnis was solid on the hill, improving to 4-0 on the season and also helped hmself at the plate by going 3-4 with a double and three RBI's.

"It's good to get a win like this", said Hammer outfielder John Gray "After coming of a tough win the other night over Local, it's nice to pile up the runs, relax and enjoy a few frosties with the boys."

Every player in the lineup had at least one hit for the M.C. club.

NOTES: Rich Brill pulled a hamstring and had to leave the game after scoring on an RBI single by Greg Harper, his statis is day-to-day . . . With the win Hammers improve to 6-2 on the season . . . Gary Smith continued his torrid hitting and has eight hits in his last nine at-bats . . . The league announced the Hammers will play Yersterday's Friday, June 20th as part of a make-up game for a May rainout.
