VFW Ends Hammers Season In Shocking First Round Upset

LeBREQUE FIELD, HN - The McInnis Carpentry Softball Team was sent home this week with a shocking first round collapse against the VFW. The Hammers came into the best of three series owning a 11-1 career record over the Germantown based club. The one loss was a game that was forfeited due to a scheduling error.

The Hammers were sent reeling after a 30-19 loss to open the series. They never recovered and were eliminated in game two 12-11. It is the second time in four years the Hammers have lost to the 7th seed in the playoffs.

"Well, we never really got going this year", said GM Tom Fratolillo "We had a good run, making it to the championship two years in a row. We had an off year, this stings a little bit... no one on this team likes to lose, but we'll regroup and be back at next year."

With the losses the Hammers finished their season at 14-8, their lowest win total ever.

we're playing the Chefs this week. the best case scenario is that it goes 5 games and we lay down in the last inning, sparing us from a 4 game drubbing from Flanny's.

think of when Obi Wan just stood there as he took Darth Vaders light saber to the mid section.

he just dissappeared leaving only his robe. the Morrell Club will leave a few Bud Light empties.
